Day 5 and kindly hotspotting again!

We are at nearly 4000 meters and today was a gentle acclimatisation hike that consisted of a fair amount of scrambling.
Some fantastic views today and most of the team are feeling strong as their bodies adapt. Even still, it doesn’t take much to get out of breath!
Our guides are brilliant; we have health checks twice a day which covers a range of factors such as oxygen saturation levels, blood pressure and pulse. All of which we try to improve seconds before the check!
They also check the time of our last pee and bowel movement which, if recent, gets a hearty “congratulations!”
Two nights ago the cook even managed to rustle up an actual birthday cake for @binksontour which, at 13000 ft, impressed us all!
The hike to base camp is tomorrow so we are eating a lot and resting right now. It is also the last point where fresh water is available so water will be slightly more rationed for the next 48 hours.
We will be woken up at about 0100 hours on Tuesday to start the summit hike. We are all desperate to get there now!
